The Barbados Overseas Cricket Association (BOCA) was established in 1986, in South London, and since then has been working to meet the needs of the cricket-playing and cricket-loving community in the area. The Cricket Club plays in the Kent League, and also enters National league and Cup competitions. Despite our name, membership is drawn from a wide cross section of people in the local community though many members are, either by origin or heritage, linked to the Caribbean. The Association's principal aims are to provide players with access to improved grounds and facilities, to foster and encourage youngsters to develop an interest in playing, to promote awareness and involvement in cricket among the community, irrespective of age or gender, and to promote and generate social activities for the benefit of the members.
A significant event for the Association was the establishment of a youth development programme in 2000.
As BOCA enters into a new era, we are looking to build on our strong links with the local community through social activities, to extend the age range of the current youth programme and build on the recent success of the colts.
BOCA have now relocated to the West Wickham Ground at Corkscrew Hill from the 2005 Season.
